Ermes Movedi

The main research activities of Ermes Movedi are related with the analysis - based on experimental trials and simulation models - of the impact of weather and management scenarios on cropping systems dynamics. In particular, he has specific expertise on the simulation of herbaceous cropping systems, of inter-specific competition within grasslands, and on crop - weed interactions. He is author or co-author (development and coding) of software libraries for the simulation of cropping systems.

He is also involved (i) in testing and using mobile apps for estimating agro-environmental variables to support management in operational farms (fertilization and fungicide distribution), (ii) in model-based ideotyping studies, and (iii) in the development of index based insurance products for winter cereal and tomato.
